Since 1993 the agricultural Monte Vento Company cultivation mode has been strictly complying with biological agriculture procedures. The agricultural and agri-touristic activities have been following the environmental managing criteria ispired from the ISO 14001 rules. The energy needs for heating and hot water production, thanks to the use of a wood burning boiler, are more than met by the state initiated management and upkeep of Woods and Forests introduced for such purpose. The pond, used to satisfy the need for irrigation of the plantations, has become an interesting Biotype and one that lends itself to didactic activities and scientific observations.
